7 September - Animal kingdom

An amazing world of new animals has been discovered. The creatures are natives of Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean. They look amazing, but I'm not sure I'd like to meet them – what do you think?

8 September - Oceania

Just up the road, so to speak, from Papua New Guinea is Samoa. This Pacific nation (map) is having interesting traffic problems. Imagine the chaos if the whole of Britain had to drive on the other side of the road!

10 September - Ringing ears

These are very special bells indeed. Now Dan wants to give bell ringing a try. I'm not sure how you practise at home, though. After all a church bell is a lot bigger than a recorder, and a door bell is just not the same.

10 September - Girl power

I loved being in the Guides. It was great to have friends outside school. We really felt like a team because we did so many challenging things together. Canoeing and camping were definitely the highlights.

13 September - Blitz spirit

I never knew that Buckingham Palace was bombed in World War Two. Judging from her letter, the late Queen Mother was very brave in difficult times.
