14 October - Grand finale

People have been dressing up as all kinds of things for the plinth in Trafalgar Square. Some raised awareness of serious issues in funny ways. All in all, I think it was a successful art idea.

14 October - Veggie bites

You all know I'm arachnophobic, but this spidery story is too good to miss. The photo freaked me out, but Rachel loved its weird eyes! I wonder if other spiders will copy this plant-lover's diet.

15 October - Polluted river

It seems human actions really can harm the environment. Aisha says thousands of fish have died in this British river because of our polluting actions. It's not good enough. We need to clean up our act.

16 October - World Food Day

Every night one in six people in the world will go to sleep hungry. If someone in your class or sports club had no food, you'd share. We forget about the world's big problems because they seem far away.

17 October - Feast of colour

Diwali means lots of sweet treats and parties for VJ. He says the festival of light brightens up his autumn. For me, nature is doing its bit. Right outside my window is a tree full of colour!
