I had to go to hospital this week (better now), so my friend Aisha has kindly been blogging for me – thanks Aisha!

15 September – Federer’s winning streak broken

Juan Martin del Potro won the US Open today. This broke Roger Federer’s five-in-a-row winning streak. He's a good loser though – check out what he says about it. He was hoping to equal Bill Tilden's tennis record set in 1925.

16 September – New cars

While I love my new eco-car, there's something quite attractive in a sports car. The Frankfurt Motor Show unveiled of a number of new models, such as the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster or the Roadster Porsche 911 Sports. Tempting if I had the money!

18 September – London Fashion Week

I love a new outfit, but, like the sports cars, I don’t think I can afford the amazing designer creations on show at London Fashion Week. Fashions change so much over the years...

19 September – How many?

Running a marathon is a great achievement. Most people would be proud to run one marathon, but Eddie Izzard managed to run 43 marathons in 51 days! Eddie started off doing one marathon in about ten hours – but nearly halved his time to just over five hours over the days. VJ's off to run in the Great North Run tomorrow, good luck VJ!

20 September – Eid begins

It’s Eid today. It's a festival celebrating the end of the month of Ramadan, a month where Muslims fast during daylight hours. Some of my friends will be celebrating later with prayer, food, and family time!
