14 December – New dinosaur discovered

It surprises me that scientists are still discovering new dinosaurs. The new one, Tawa hallae, is similar but smaller than the T.rex.

16 December – Cameron’s 3D film on the way

I was chatting to my friend Dan, who couldn’t stop talking about Avatar. It’s a 3D film with a huge budget, in supposedly amazing 3D with masses of CGI.

17 December – A white Christmas?

My friend Hannah is so excited at the prospect of snow. Some places in the UK got snow today. Others might get more snow overnight.

18 December – Auschwitz sign stolen

Dad told me today that the sign from the gates to the Auschwitz concentration camp had been taken by thieves. While they’ve currently replaced it with a replica, this important piece of history has been lost.

19 December – Channel Tunnel chaos

I can’t help but feel sorry for those stuck in or either side of the Channel Tunnel today. I’m looking forward to my Christmas break, but with the tunnel closed so many will be delayed getting home for Christmas.

20 December – Opt-out for organs?

My gran was pleased to hear Wales was considering an 'opt-out' system for organ donation. This means that you have to ask not to have your organs donated when you die, rather than opt into giving them. She’s had a kidney transplant, so we know how important this is!
