17 June - Home sweet home?

It seems that woolly mammoths remained in the UK longer than we thought. Dan said maybe they liked the tea! I'm sure it wasn't because of our weather. Anyway it was a very different climate in prehistoric times.

17 June - Speaking out

An election in Iran (map) has brought people out into the streets. I can't remember the revolution in this Middle Eastern country in the 1970s, but Mum and Dad can. They hope there'll be a peaceful solution to this crisis.

19 June - Cheeky kats

Aisha thought these new meerkats were really cute! They are very sociable animals and it is fascinating to see how they work as a family group.

Saturday 20 June - All Greek

I'd love to visit the new Acropolis Museum. I'm planning a British - not a Greek - summer holiday, though. Maybe I could take a book on the Ancient Greeks.

21 June - Tennis present

I made Dad a Fathers' Day card. James and I saved up to buy him a ticket for Wimbledon for Fathers' Day too. He was really happy. He says he'll enjoy the strawberries. Rafael Nadal won't be there but Andy Murray is fighting fit.
