20 April - Call for calm

It's quite a complicated situation in Sri Lanka. I feel sorry for innocent people caught up in fighting there (map). I think deep down everyone wants a peaceful life.

22 April - Tudor champion

It's 500 years today since Henry VIII became king. He was only seventeen! I don't think I could have ruled a country when I was that age. Many people think of him as large and grumpy, but he was young and sporty at that age.

22 April - Taste of space

Gran once brought me some astronaut's ice cream as a souvenir from America. It was solid and not cold at all. It just shows that puddings are popular not just all over the world but even in space.

24 April - Daley challenge

Dan's unhappy that Tom Daley is being bullied. He says in other countries a top teen athlete would be seen as a role model in and out of the water.

26 April - On your marks

Like the young Henry VIII, we all need to keep fit. In fact, thousands of people ran in the London marathon this morning. Rachel has just texted me to ask if we could run it next year! As long as I don't have to do it in fancy dress.
