28 December – Oldest duck dies

I didn’t think ducks had a long lifespan, but Edwina did. She died today, aged 22. At least she seemed to have a very good life!

30 December – Celebrating the New Year

I didn’t realize until recently that the Romans set 1 January as the start of the New Year. Today there are many traditions that people have to welcome the New Year. I just like to spend it with family or friends!

1 January – London Parade

My mum loved the Lord Mayor of London’s parade today. She tries to go see it every year, or at least watch it on TV. You won’t catch me standing for hours in the cold!

2 January – Resolutions kept?

I’m not sure about making any New Year’s resolutions this year. I never seem to keep them. Perhaps I should type them and stick them up to remind me…

3 January – Snowing around the world

I was sad that there wasn’t much snow where I live before Christmas but amazed how many places in the UK did have snow. It’s China’s turn today – they’re facing snow storms all over the country.
