30 March - Lights out

Did you switch off your lights for Earth Hour? VJ reckons high profile stunts like this grab people's attention. It's true - I'd never even thought about the energy used to light up famous landmarks. Do you have any landmarks in your area that are lit up at night?

30 March - Belching bovines

In a similarly eco-friendly move, I see that cows may be going on a diet. It's to reduce their famous (ahem) windiness!

2 April - Chopper search

I feel sorry for the families of the lost oil workers. We rely so much on fossil fuels, but we don't often think of the people who bring them to us.

3 April - School trip

While her husband Barack Obama was meeting other world leaders, Mrs Obama visited some excited school pupils. I thought her speech was great. Her message was: if you work hard, you can do anything.

5 April - Eastertime

I won't be blogging next week as I'm taking a break for an Easter holiday! My brother and I are in charge of decorating Mum's special Easter cake. At least there will be chocolate eggs for dessert, if we do it wrong!
